Prudential, Risk and Tax

We respond to consultations issued by UK authorities such as the Bank of England, the Prudential Regulation Authority and Financial Conduct Authority, as well as multilateral organisations such as the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision and the European Banking Authority.

We also respond on initiatives as varied as capital and liquidity requirements, governance, risk modelling, stress testing, governance, regulatory reporting, recovery and resolution planning and climate-related financial risks.

We also engage with the Financial Reporting Council, the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy and others on strategic reporting, corporate governance and progressive employment policies. We work closely with UK and foreign tax authorities.

We advocate the implementation of international standards, such as the Basel III framework, in a consistent, proportionate and harmonised way across the globe and we are supportive of the FSB-sponsored Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures and the Net Zero Banking Alliance.
