Monmouthshire Building Society was founded in 1869 in Newport. As a mutual building society, we’ve been serving our members for over 150 years, and our members’ needs remain at the heart of everything we do.

As a regional building society, with over 70,000 members across England and Wales, we’re able to reinvest our profits back into the business to provide a better service for our members.

The Society offers savings and mortgages and other products such as home insurance through third party links. Our members are able to access their accounts online and will soon have access to our new savings app. However, may still choose to visit us in person in our growing high street branch and agency network.

As a mutual building society, we’re committed to supporting our local communities. Thanks to members investing in the Society, we’ve been supporting local community projects for over 20 years. We’re now proud to be reaching and helping more people than ever through these initiatives, which include colleague volunteering, sponsorship programmes and our charitable foundation.

The Society is a major employer in south east Wales, with around 250 colleagues.
