    Unlocking opportunities for Ethnic Minority Business Owners

    The economic contribution of ethnic minority business (EMB) owners to the UK's Gross Value Added is considerable, recently estimated at £25bn by the FSB. EMB owners in every UK region are more likely to export than non EMB owners. But Covid-19 has significantly impacted on ethnic minority businesses given their representation in those sectors most adversely affected, including hospitality and retail.

    Female Entrepreneurs - After the Rose Review

    In 2019, the government published the report of the Alison Rose Review of female entrepreneurs, which recommended the creation and adoption of an Investing in Female Entrepreneurs Code committing financial institutions to the principles of gender equality, transparent reporting of gender funding data and to the adoption of a set of best practices that would benefit female business owners across the country.
