Carl helps financial institutions introduce pragmatic and efficient cyber risk management

Carl is a Partner within PA's Global Digital Trust and Cyber Security practice based in the UK. He has specialist knowledge in how to formulate and implement new security target operating models to support our clients day-to-day business, in particular, bridging the gap between both IT/Security and the business. Carl has led the delivery over a wide variety of cyber security end-to-end services into clients to support daily operations and local regulatory requirements and obligations

Carl brings over 26 years’ experience within the technology industry. He also has a wealth of experience spanning multiple industries and a blended mix of both Public and Private sector work within the UK. He has a solid background in programming/coding through to IT Governance, Risk and Compliance. He held a commission with the British Army and later supported UK Ministry of Defence satellite programmes; cyber vulnerability investigations and introducing real-time technologies to manage cyber risk across IT landscapes. This experience has been valuable to Carl working within the Financial Services sector where he has held key positions with New York Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange. Furthermore, he has supported high street, retail banking, investment banking, asset management organisations with cyber support.

He has deep understanding as to how to manage increasing regulation in the cyber domain and how to build pragmatic solutions to meet these new obligations driven from the increasing threat landscape. As a thought leader within cyber security, Carl is a contributing author into the global Institute of Telecommunications Professionals Journal. He has also defined the Human Factor methodology and approach to the Ministry of Defences Cyber Vulnerability Investigations across mission critical applications and broader systems within the Royal Air Force, The British Army and the Royal Navy. These principles have been adopted by the financial services sector.
