Are you meeting the requirements of the Mortgage Credit Directive (MCD)?

The aim of the EU Mortgage Credit Directive (MCD) was to create an EU-wide mortgage credit market with a high level of consumer protection applying to both secured credit and home loans.

The MCD identified nine knowledge and competence requirements which were mapped to the appropriate roles within mortgage lenders and intermediaries. Do you, or your firm meet these requirements?

UK Finance and Unicorn Training invite you to attend the product launch of our new Mortgage and Home Finance eLearning Knowledge Suite.

Our new Mortgage and Home Finance knowledge suite will help those working in administration, product design and underwriting to satisfy the MCD requirement via six interactive learning pathways.

This launch event will enable you to get a better understanding of each of the pathways, which include:

  • An overview of the parties and methods involved in buying, selling and financing property
  • Mortgage and Home Finance regulation and the various types of mortgages
  • Mortgage advice and the criteria to fulfil
  • Selecting suitable insurance to combine with a mortgage
  • Equity release, home purchase plans, sale and rent back plus commercial mortgages
  • Arrears and possessions

How You Will Learn

  • Immersive and Engaging - You will meet characters from a Mortgage and Home Finance team during the course. You will be helping this team as they fulfil appointments with customers - and learning along the way. Content is centred on case studies and discussions and is presented in an easy to understand format.
  • A Blended Approach - Short animations and videos bring the learning to life and provide a blended approach. Each key topic features a video summary that can be used for stand alone knowledge reinforcement and as ongoing ?mini knowledge refreshers?.
  • Track and Evidence CPD - The MCD states that all those involved in mortgages should evidence the ?appropriate? level of knowledge and competence. Unicorn's CPD tracker enables learners to evidence knowledge and competence. Managers will have access to a dashboard to see how individuals and teams are progressing towards CPD targets.
