Workshop overview:

Focusing on the operational risk implementation journey, from its early stages to being fully implemented, this workshop introduces a ‘maturity ladder’ for measuring progress and outlining the key characteristics of each phase. The training reviews what embeddedness looks like and how it can be measured. It presents three pillars of embedded risk management and proposes a balanced scorecard with examples of practical metrics and indicators.

This advanced workshop also enables participants to examine the most current and topical themes and challenges of operational risk management, from cyber to AI and third-party risk. It aims to aid risk professionals to adjust their practices in order to remain at the forefront of industry developments and regulatory expectations.

The workshop is structured to provide the delegates with crucial knowledge as well as ample opportunities for group work and discussion, to address emerging themes and benchmark solutions with peer firms. It is packed with practical tips and hints and ends with ‘make a difference’ discussion, where attendees share takeaways that will make a real difference to their organisation. The training is based on a best-selling book, Operational Risk Management of Financial Services: A practical guide to establishing effective solutions, which serves as a base for the workshop materials and enables continuous learning.
