This workshop focuses on the role of the 2nd line Operational Risk professional and how it is embodied by drifters, diminishers and multipliers. It also reviews the profile of embedded 1st Line Risk Champions, and their personalities of problem solvers, postmen and champions.
The workshop adopts a practical approach to revising the core skills and capabilities of operational risk professionals and provides a step-by-step guide to building successful risk teams.
We’ll look at risk culture, one of the least visible but most vital aspect of risk management, and outline practical steps that can be taken to embed the right ethos and behaviours, including having the right tone from risk in addition to the tone at the top, and holding meaningful risk conversations across the firm.
This course is structured to provide delegates with crucial knowledge as well as opportunities for group work and discussion, to address emerging themes and benchmark solutions with peer firms. It is packed with practical tips and hints and ends with Make A Difference discussion, where attendees share their take-aways that will make a real difference to their organisation.
