Workshop overview:

This workshop provides a practical overview of the evolution from SS 3/19 to SS 5/25 and what the updated expectations mean for firms in practice. Drawing on Katalysys’ experience supporting firms and engaging with industry, it will explore emerging good practices, common challenges and misconceptions, and practical approaches to addressing gaps across 12 key themes, including deep dives into governance, climate scenario analysis and climate risk opportunities for mortgage providers. The workshop will help firms benchmark their current state, identify and prioritise areas for improvement, and develop remediation plans that are both credible and ambitious.

Learning outcomes:

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • understand how expectations have evolved: gain a clear understanding of the shift from SS 3/19 to SS 5/25 and what the changes mean for firms in practice.
  • benchmark current practices: build the ability to assess your firm’s approach against key SS 5/25 expectations and emerging industry practice, identifying strengths, gaps and misconceptions.
  • strengthen practical implementation: gain actionable insights into good practice and proportionate remediation approaches across key areas, including governance, scenario analysis and climate risk opportunities.
  • develop credible and ambitious remediation plans: learn how to prioritise actions and articulate a clear target state, while demonstrating that remediation plans are both credible and ambitious.
