Data lies at the heart of the Financial Conduct Authority's (FCA) vulnerability regulations. Firms need to know their vulnerable consumers, hold the right data about them and use this to help and support them. Firms also need to balance the FCA's expectations on data with those of the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

UK Finance has partnered with Money Advice Trust to develop a new vulnerability and GDPR workshop to address these specific requirements to ensure you can meet your responsibilities. It takes place over three half days, 14, 17 and 23 June.

Learning outcomes:

  • Identify the challenges of supporting vulnerable customers and meeting GDPR requirements
  • Explain the different basis under articles six and nine that can be used to record customer disclosure
  • Apply the principles from GDPR to a vulnerable customer scenario
