We are pleased to announce that the UK Finance Cyber Resilience and Operational Risk Conference, in association with EY and IBM, is now open for booking.

The speed and scale of digital transformation within the financial services industry is contributing to the emergence of new non-financial risks and highlights the need for firms to consider their exposure to these risks in today’s digital age.

This full-day event will set out the landscape for operational risk, outlining the importance of cyber resilience and industry collaboration, and the benefits of a top-down holistic risk strategy.

What are the challenges?
In the face of rapid technological change, greater use of outsourcing (including the Cloud), unplanned system outages, and cyber threats, firms must be ready to respond rapidly to operational events as they happen so that individual issues do not escalate to become systemic problems, harming other market participants and their customers.

Following a growing number of high-profile data breaches and hacks – and with prudential regulation on the horizon – firms should establish a top-down all-inclusive business approach, with processes and controls to anticipate and manage cyber threats. Cyber resilience should now be a major consideration in a firm’s operational risk management strategy.
