From 1 June, conveyancers will have advanced access to the new Handbook, allowing users to familiarise themselves the new platform.

Registration
To ensure migration to the new Handbook is as smooth as possible for all conveyancers, we encourage you to fill out the following pre-registration form for your organisation in preparation for go-live. We only need one person at each organisation to complete this form.
Please submit the pre-registration form before 5pm on 22 May.
Further guidance on the registration process will be shared ahead of launch
Third party businesses wishing to access the Handbook and use its content for commercial purposes will be able to apply for a commercial licence. This commercial licence will grant firms access to the Handbook via a secure API.
Commercial Licence Holders looking to access the Handbook will need to contact mlh@ukfinance.org.uk to discuss next steps. Account and access to API will be created and managed by UK Finance.
Lender users of the Handbook will continue to access the platform and upload their instructions without charge.
From 1 June, lenders will have advanced access to the new Handbook, allowing users to familiarise themselves the new platform.
There will be a one-week change freeze from 21 to 29 June, during which period we request that lenders do not make any updates to part 2 instructions to ensure consistency with the current live version.
To ensure migration to the new Handbook platform is as smooth as possible for all lenders, we encourage you to check whether your firm has taken the steps below in preparation for go-live.
User Accounts
There will be three role levels for those within lender organisations:
If you have not already done so, please provide your Lender Administrator nominations before 5pm on Wednesday 15 April. Please email mlh@ukfinance.org.uk with the names, emails, and relevant brands and jurisdictions you wish to register Lender Administrators for. We will be contacting lenders individually in the coming weeks to obtain this information if not already provided.
How to register
Firms currently using the Handbook
Lenders who have not already provided us with updated details should submit requests to our online form, for admin users to be onboarded.
Firms not registered to the Handbook
If you are not currently registered onto the Handbook, you will need to send an enquiry through our online form, and a member of the team will be in touch in due course.
Consumers will be able to use the Handbook platform for free to access information on the handbook. Consumers will be required to register for this access and will be limited to three searches over a six-month period.
From the launch date, consumers can register through the handbook website, under “not a lender”. These users will be limited to three searches in a six-month period, after which the allowance will reset.

The new Handbook platform has been developed to deliver a substantial enhancement in the quality and consistency of the services it provides to users.
It incorporates a range of improvements, including enhanced security with two-factor authentication, functionality, and filter options offering a more resilient, secure, and user‑focused platform.
