HMRC: Alternative methods of VAT collection - split payment

We welcome the opportunity to respond to the HMRC consultation on alternative methods of VAT collection - split payments. This is an issue of close interest to the financial services industry, not least due to the potentially significant impacts that implementing the proposals as they currently stand may have. As we have noted in our previous engagement with HMRC, we are sympathetic to the issues that HMRC are seeking to address.
