UK Finance welcomes the Interim Report - we agree with its finding that the market is, on the whole, working well. Lenders have responded to the challenge of so-called 'mortgage prisoners' with a voluntary industry agreement announced alongside this response and we have agreed to explore with members and the FCA what might be possible for customers of inactive and unregulated lenders over the coming months. We have made lenders' product transfer data available, and we will continue to work with the FCA on the implementation and possible extension of these projects.
