COP30 is taking place from Monday 10 to Friday 21 November 2025.
COP is the Conference of the Parties (COP) for the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), held annually, with the Presidency rotating between the five recognised UN regions.
Brazil was selected as President of the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30). It will be hosted in Belém, from 10 to 21 November 2025.
Our sustainability policy team will be at COP30, representing UK Finance and the sector at a number of events, taking the opportunity to connect with international stakeholders.
Attending the conference helps demonstrate the continued commitment of the financial services sector to the transition to a more sustainable economy, providing the chance for us to advocate for clear low-carbon policies.
We’re publishing a suite of case studies “Sustainable leadership: Case Studies from the Financial Services Sector for a Greener Economy”, which brings together case studies from our members in key areas, giving examples of our members’ leadership in the world of green finance.
Showcasing a range of activities, from deploying hundreds of billions of pounds in sustainable and transition finance, through specific wind, solar and carbon capture projects, to support for low-carbon social housing, this demonstrates the immense successes the industry has enjoyed over recent years.
