In response to the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero’s consultation on future climate-related transition plans, our members agreed that a requirement for entities to explain why they have not disclosed transition plans (‘Option 1’) represents a sensible and proportionate approach. However, we believe that successful delivery of climate transition plans is inherently dependent on timely and appropriate government policy, technological advancement, and coordinated action from society at large.
