There is no such thing as a UK housing market. National-level policy decisions and economic events affect demand, but where we choose – and can afford – to buy or rent our home is deeply connected with the local economy and demographics.  Our new annual report highlights these differences and identifies hot spots where affordability is tightest, and those where getting on the housing ladder, or operating a buy-to-let landlord is less challenging.
