Join us for a critical discussion on Authorised Push Payment (APP) fraud, a rising epidemic in the UK. With billions lost annually, the financial and emotional toll on victims is immense. This panel, featuring representatives from GBG, and Sekura.id, aims to address the various dimensions of APP fraud, from types and financial impact to crucial regulatory changes imposed by the Payment Systems Regulator.

APP fraud types such as 'malicious payee' and 'malicious redirection' are explored. The financial burden on both consumers and banks is emphasised, underlining the urgent need for innovative robust solutions.

Delving into regulatory changes, then moving to solutions, the panel will explore how mobile identity can prevent APP fraud

In the Q&A session, experts address audience questions, fostering collaboration between anti-fraud solution providers, mobile intelligence specialists, and the banking community.

While APP fraud poses a significant threat, and the punitive measure proposed by the PSR are a blunt tool, collaborative efforts and innovative solutions can effectively prevent and mitigate their impact. A more secure digital financial landscape reduces both the worry for customers and the financial burden on the banking community.
