In the first episode of season 2, we discuss the future of money and how this is likely to impact on the wider future of payments.
There's just money, right? Well, one of the impressive things about our financial system in the UK is that we as consumers all interchange between different forms of money every day and we don't even realise it.
What does it look like to innovate commercial and central bank money? What needs to change and why? How will this innovation sit alongside or interconnect with other forms of new digital money innovation? What are the opportunities and challenges?
In this episode, we explore whether the UK is falling behind, as hinted at in the recently announced Future of Payments Review, chaired by Joe Garner. And what kind of infrastructure we need to deliver this future vision for money and payments.
