We welcome the formation of the Capital Markets Industry Taskforce, an important initiative that builds upon the work done to date to boost competition and drive efficiencies in the UK’s capital markets.

This will be a forum for policy makers and industry to work together and ensure our programme of reforms are as ambitious as possible. The forum will also help ensure capital markets are working to most effectively drive investment into businesses up and down the country.

We look forward to working with this Taskforce to aid the further development of UK capital markets, which play a critical role in driving economic growth.
