UK Finance has responded jointly with AFME to the FCA's consultation paper on its proposals for a new Directory to make information public on individuals authorised to carry out a variety of roles this is designed to help consumers to verify the credentials of provides of financial advice. Whilst supporting the intent we argued that the amount of information and the range of individuals that would be covered went way beyond that required to enable  a retail consumer to take an informed decision about advisor choice.
