UK Finance has responded to PRA CP2/21, International banks: The PRA's approach to branch and subsidiary supervision. We welcome the publication of the draft revised Supervisory Statement, noting the increased clarity provided, and the Consultation Paper, which reasserts the PRA's commitment to ensuring the UK remains an open and attractive location for global banking groups. Within our response, we acknowledge the PRA's flexible and proportionate approach to supervision, and encourage the continuation of a bespoke approach that is mindful of the complexities of large global groups and the concerns of smaller branches and subsidiaries. We also note the PRA's efforts to build strong relationships with overseas regulators, and encourage a continued focus on international standards and co-operation between regulators as a mechanism for ensuring stability.
